The DUS Testing Station carries out distinctness, uniformity and stability testing on various fruit tree species for entry in the Commercial and Protected Varieties Registers (CVR). (Prunus dulcis), peach tree (Prunus persica), cherry tree (Prunus avium), pear tree (Pyrus communis), quince tree (Cydonia oblonga), as well as plant material used as rootstocks in these species (Prunus sp., Pyrus sp. and Cydonia sp). It includes testing of these species for EU-wide variety protection granted by the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) through the Spanish Plant Variety Office (OEVV).
