El Centro de Investigación y Tecnología Agroalimentaria de Aragón (CITA) (Agrifood Research and Technology Centre of Aragón) is undergoing in the last years a significant development incorporating in our activities new initiatives and working areas with the objective of meeting the new social demands.
The CITA of Aragón is a Research Public Organization belonging to the Department of Innovation and New technologiesof the Government of Aragón whose mission is to obtain benefits for our society by research, technological development, training and transfer. The objectives are the following: Improve the economic profitability of the agrifood enterprises of our Autonomous Region as well as increase the life quality of the whole population, from producers of raw materials to consumers.
This web page aiming to be an exercise of institutional openness on one side, and an instrument of connexion with the society on the other, trying to inform who we are and what we do. At the same time, we believe this web will be an excellent tool for an efficient interrelation of all the actors implied in the activity of the CITA (growers, agrifood enterprises, productive associations, public and private institutions as well as consumers) and therefore be informed of the last news immediately. Finally, we also hope that through this web page, the CITA may support the Agrifood Sector as well as all the sectors related with the Environment and Natural Resources. The reason is that an important part of our research activity is related with the more efficient use of our natural resources concerning the improvement of water and soil quality, the phytogenetic and forest resources as well as the means to produce food.
